After 15 minutes, Orlando Maschke made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Cartajena FC's Victorino Oteiza tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 38 minutes of play, Cartajena FC's Casimiro Albonico made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romelio Potts was left in no man's land by his defense there! 42 minutes into the game, Ariano Triviño cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Victorino Oteiza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Orlando Maschke's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victorino Oteiza was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Victorino Oteiza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Orlando Maschke went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. But to his dismay, Casimiro Albonico quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-5. With a little luck, Cartajena FC's Victorino Oteiza got control of the ball when Ariano Triviño tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 89th minute Natalio Docal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romelio Potts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of cartagonova booed when Cartajena FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casimiro Albonico didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Victorino Oteiza managed to avoid a goal in the 96thth minute, when cartagonova's Ariano Triviño fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
