After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Cristofer Ahumada managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palena's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristofer Ahumada was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Hernánde De la Maza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Cristofer Ahumada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Naelio Landea made a kick off. Adriel Igualt struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Gilberto Abrahamsohn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manquimillu. Cristofer Ahumada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Miguel Hernánde De la Maza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Naelio Landea in the 75th minute of play forced Manquimillu's goalkeeper Miguel Hernánde De la Maza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute Naelio Landea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Hernánde De la Maza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eulalio Marfan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Eulalio Marfan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Felipo Ensslin fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manquimillu's protests and gave Felipo Ensslin a yellow card for diving instead. Felipo Ensslin kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 90th minute of the match, Cristofer Ahumada got a very nice opportunity to score, but Miguel Hernánde De la Maza was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Cristofer Ahumada might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miguel Hernánde De la Maza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristofer Ahumada ran back to his position shaking his head. Manquimillu were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Palena for a fine match.
