José Julio Garrido made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, Guacollo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Odón Heiremans came free, but José Julio Garrido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Marcelino Fontecilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Panguecillo AFC's Odón Heiremans in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Guacollo AFC's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Loreto Bauza in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adolfo Bravo saved Panguecillo AFC from getting behind. Marcelino Fontecilla kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Valiente Segovia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guacollo AFC's José Julio Garrido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelino Fontecilla in the 31st minute of play. Valiente Segovia's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Adolfo Bravo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Panguecillo AFC booed when Guacollo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loreto Bauza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adolfo Bravo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loreto Bauza, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. If Marcelino Fontecilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcelino Fontecilla stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Panguecillo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Loreto Bauza came free, but Adolfo Bravo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute Loreto Bauza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Bravo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pere Argo's late challenge caught a Guacollo AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pere Argo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 62nd minute, Ismael Calvetti fired away an extremely well hit free kick, but unfortunately the ball went just outside to the right hand side of Adolfo Bravo. Adolfo Bravo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valiente Segovia in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valiente Segovia in the 68th minute of play forced Panguecillo AFC's goalkeeper Adolfo Bravo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg José Julio Garrido managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Panguecillo AFC's Odón Heiremans fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Loreto Bauza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Loreto Bauza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guacollo AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Loreto Bauza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adolfo Bravo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 81st minute Valiente Segovia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Bravo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute, Adelio Minden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcelino Fontecilla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Julio Garrido having to make a save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Panguecillo AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
