Alonso Swett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Demesio Dutard in the 13th minute of play. When Huaquen AFC's Demesio Dutard in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 92nd minute, Naelio Mackenzie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Barcelona's Alonso Swett proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Barcelona from getting a goal against them. Huaquen AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
