After 4 played minutes Peuco got a freekick which was hit by Baudelio Mesa. When Ludovico La Motte came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Barcelona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ludovico La Motte couldn't finish the play. Xosé Uriarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Alonso Swett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peuco's Xosé Uriarte got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Xosé Uriarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Alonso Swett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, Ramon María Renner was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Peuco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barcelona the free kick. In the 26th minute, one of Peuco:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Peuco. 30 minutes into the match, Barcelona's Fulgencio Cohen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilfredo Beca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Barcelona's Alonso Swett proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Barcelona from getting a goal against them. Alonso Swett made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nauzet Castañeda in the 35th minute. If Xosé Uriarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Barcelona's Alonso Swett got control of the ball when Nauzet Castañeda tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alonso Swett made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Nauzet Castañeda sent off a good shot on target. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barcelona's goalkeeper Alonso Swett, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half Barcelona were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Peuco's Ramon María Renner couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Barcelona. In the 56th minute, Nauzet Castañeda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ludovico La Motte got free with Wilfredo Beca in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Xosé Uriarte's late challenge caught a Barcelona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xosé Uriarte helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Peuco getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Xosé Uriarte hit a great ball. If Ludovico La Motte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Barcelona succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Peuco had controlled the match.
