After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Modesto Leese managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colchagua's supporters rose to their feet, but Modesto Leese was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erasmo Anders breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 11th minute, Modesto Leese ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erasmo Anders was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 15 minutes into the match, Airo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Roldán Urtaza came free, but Erasmo Anders reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Airo AFC's Erasmo Anders played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roldán Urtaza in the 17th minute of play. After 19 played minutes Airo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Jacinto Guillermo. Modesto Leese's late challenge caught a Airo AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Modesto Leese helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Airo AFC booed when Colchagua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Modesto Leese didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lester Florido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilio Felipe Carrillo having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Vinos Finlay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 31 played minutes Colchagua got a freekick which was hit by Martin Parot. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Casimír Huilcaman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Emilio Felipe Carrillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casimír Huilcaman, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Erasmo Anders took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Modesto Leese, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute, Roldán Urtaza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Colchagua's Emilio Felipe Carrillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Casimír Huilcaman in the 70th minute of play. When the match had been going on for 78 minutes, Colchagua's Roldán Ledea got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Erasmo Anders. After a defensive mix-up in Airo AFC's zone, Modesto Leese stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erasmo Anders came out of the goal and Modesto Leese tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 89 minutes into the match, Colchagua's goal looked a bit too open when Lester Florido came free, but Emilio Felipe Carrillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Casimír Huilcaman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Alessandro Erwenne fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Airo AFC's protests and gave Alessandro Erwenne a yellow card for diving instead. After 94 played minutes Airo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Erwenne. When Roldán Urtaza came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Colchagua fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roldán Urtaza couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Colchagua eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
