The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcel De la Cuadra was the one to do the kick off. When Geraldo Finlay fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quillaguasa AFC's protests and gave Geraldo Finlay a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Colico booed when Quillaguasa AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geraldo Finlay didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57th minute, Moncho Nordon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patxi Solorzano's late challenge caught a Quillaguasa AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Quillaguasa AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
