But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcel De la Cuadra couldn't finish the play. Quillaguasa AFC's Aitor Dighero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zebulón Teran in the 6th minute of play. A collision led to Quillaguasa AFC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Evelio Lawrence hit a great ball. Quilquico AFC's Leonel Leese proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Quilquico AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 27th minute, Hugo Orlando Tellerias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcel De la Cuadra struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Leonel Leese didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quillaguasa AFC. Aitor Dighero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hugo Orlando Tellerias's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Hugo Orlando Tellerias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quilquico AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Orlando Tellerias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aitor Dighero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Quillaguasa AFC! Manolo Argomedo shot the penalty kick right outside the post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zebulón Teran was the one to do the kick off. Cosme Schnaidt charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cosme Schnaidt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 54th match minute, Quilquico AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosme Schnaidt to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes into the match, Quilquico AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jacob Campo came free, but Leonel Leese reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zebulón Teran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aitor Dighero having to interfere. Hugo Orlando Tellerias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. When Vasco Aburto fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quillaguasa AFC's protests and gave Vasco Aburto a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Quillaguasa AFC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Vasco Aburto hit a great ball. 67 minutes into the match, Quillaguasa AFC's goalkeeper Aitor Dighero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hugo Orlando Tellerias. Zebulón Teran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aitor Dighero having to interfere. After 71st play minutes Hugo Orlando Tellerias shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Aitor Dighero and just under the crossbar into goal. After 75 minutes of play, Quilquico AFC's Hugo Orlando Tellerias made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aitor Dighero was left in no man's land by his defense there! Leonel Leese showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacob Campo, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. If Hugo Orlando Tellerias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 91 minutes, Hugo Orlando Tellerias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quilquico AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Orlando Tellerias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd minute, Quillaguasa AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Zebulón Teran fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 96th minute, Hugo Orlando Tellerias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
