The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Héctor Dareport charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Héctor Dareport the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomasino Sarratea in the 4th minute of play forced Rodeito FC's goalkeeper Román Harriet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fidel Ipinza got free with Xulián Floto in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 12th minute, Tomasino Sarratea made a precise shot to the right of Román Harriet. Rodeito FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 18 played minutes Rodeito FC got a freekick which was hit by Elías Palamara. Rodeito FC's Inocencio Guamanga got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, Airacollo's goal looked a bit too open when Inocencio Guamanga came free, but Xulián Floto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute Tomasino Sarratea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Román Harriet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute of the match Airacollo got a corner. Rodeito FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Disvandis Faure ran over to the corner to take the kick. Airacollo's Disvandis Faure was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Román Harriet in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Román Harriet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlondón Rajcevich, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Tomasino Sarratea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Román Harriet having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Orlondón Rajcevich might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Román Harriet. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orlondón Rajcevich ran back to his position shaking his head. If Inocencio Guamanga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disvandis Faure shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Jose Ramon Aristorena's late challenge caught a Rodeito FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. A collision led to Airacollo getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Txomin Aicardi hit a great ball. In the 69th minute of the match Juan Pedro Evans shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Xulián Floto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tomasino Sarratea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Román Harriet having to interfere. Tomasino Sarratea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Román Harriet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orlondón Rajcevich in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Román Harriet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Román Harriet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlondón Rajcevich in the 80th minute of play. Fidel Ipinza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Xulián Floto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
