Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Severiano Pechini started the match with the kick off. Modestio Barcena came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Valparaiso's Edilberto Potts. But to his dismay, Edilberto Potts quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, Valparaiso's goalkeeper Adán Caso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Selmo Klein. Adán Caso stood somewhat misplaced when Selmo Klein came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 15 minute. Fernando Bas hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Modestio Barcena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edilberto Potts, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Valparaiso's Edilberto Potts got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ever Tolhauzsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adán Caso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Selmo Klein in the 27th minute. Edilberto Potts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Modestio Barcena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Selmo Klein got free with Adán Caso in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Selmo Klein managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tilama's supporters rose to their feet, but Selmo Klein was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adán Caso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edilberto Potts stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Alexandre Zegarra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valparaiso's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tilama the free kick. In the 51st match minute, Valparaiso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Zegarra to maneuver through the defense. Tilama's Severiano Pechini got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Selmo Klein received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Adán Caso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Selmo Klein came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Tilama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Selmo Klein couldn't finish the play. 68 minutes into the game, Alonzo Alegría was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valparaiso's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tilama the free kick. Alonzo Alegría kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After having played for 72 minutes, Ever Tolhauzsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valparaiso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ever Tolhauzsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ever Tolhauzsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Modestio Barcena having to interfere. Tilama's Modestio Barcena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edilberto Potts in the 77th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Edilberto Potts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Valparaiso's goalkeeper Adán Caso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Severiano Pechini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adán Caso having to interfere. If Severiano Pechini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th match minute, Valparaiso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonzo Alegría to maneuver through the defense.
