Paulo Huilipan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Juanjo Seraín had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Baraquiel Anaya hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Edilberto Potts might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulo Huilipan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edilberto Potts ran back to his position shaking his head. Edilberto Potts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Paulo Huilipan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Juanjo Seraín came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Alqui fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juanjo Seraín couldn't finish the play. After 67 played minutes Alqui got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Alberto Izammit. Edilberto Potts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. If Edilberto Potts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 87 played minutes, Valparaiso's Alexandre Zegarra shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Paulo Huilipan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Valparaiso reached it. When Julián Brizuela fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alqui's protests and gave Julián Brizuela a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Alqui's Julián Brizuela got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 94th minute, Ronaldo Santander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Alqui players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Valparaiso from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
