But to his dismay, Casimiro Portal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Enrico Albornoz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casimiro Portal, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Aurelius Poisson kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Paulino Sotelo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baldomero Baquedano's late challenge caught a Ajata FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Omar Puyo to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Ajata FC's zone, Paulino Sotelo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrico Albornoz came out of the goal and Paulino Sotelo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zenón Jarabran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Puyo in the 54th minute of the match. When Paulino Sotelo came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the COLO-COLO--THRASH FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulino Sotelo couldn't finish the play. After having played for 60 minutes, Omar Puyo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ajata FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Omar Puyo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th minute, COLO-COLO--THRASH FC's Paulino Sotelo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Enrico Albornoz. Enrico Albornoz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. After 68 played minutes COLO-COLO--THRASH FC got a freekick which was hit by Domingo Mannhardt. Ajata FC's Enrico Albornoz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Ajata FC from getting a goal against them. When Juan Jesus Lara fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ajata FC's protests and gave Juan Jesus Lara a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of COLO-COLO--THRASH FC booed when Ajata FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Jesus Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Paulino Sotelo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enrico Albornoz was relentless in the 75th minute of the game.
