A collision led to Guaillane getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Hermelando Arrué hit a great ball. Vicent Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. If Ramon María Colimán had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damario Basualto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Carlos Triviño, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guaillane's Jaume Reveco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramon María Colimán in the 48th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juan Carlos Triviño was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute Salomón Duble shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaume Reveco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 57 played minutes Aysen got a freekick which was hit by Eduard Ubilla. Damario Basualto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belmiro Florido in the 58th minute of play. Damario Basualto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Natanael Oropesa's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Ramon María Colimán fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaume Reveco having to interfere. Vicent Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After 74 played minutes Aysen got a freekick which was hit by Xavi Alvear. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Aysen's goalkeeper Damario Basualto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 77 minutes of play, Guaillane's Juan Carlos Triviño made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Damario Basualto was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Aysen's zone, Natanael Oropesa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damario Basualto came out of the goal and Natanael Oropesa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 88 minutes into the match, Aysen's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Carlos Triviño came free, but Damario Basualto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 92 minutes, Hermelando Arrué mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guaillane and the Aysen players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 92 played minutes Guaillane got a freekick which was hit by Hermelando Arrué. After having played for 94 minutes, Ramon María Colimán managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aysen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramon María Colimán was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jaume Reveco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salomón Duble in the 95th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Guaillane fans cheered their team off the field, for while Aysen had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
