Telmo Teran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franco Mosquera in the 12th minute of the match. Telmo Teran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franco Mosquera in the 16th minute of play. Odín Astete made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogelio Larrarte in the 17th minute of play. Geraldo Landea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marimenuco FC's Hermelando Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eliseo Godoy hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. If Ferrando Adasme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Marimenuco FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Julián Lazcano hit a great ball. If Geraldo Landea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. Rogelio Larrarte scored 0-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Odín Astete, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alfredo Rueda kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Hermelando Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Marimenuco FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Franco Mosquera to strike the kick off in the second half. If Fabio Ditzel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rd minute, Juan Sobarzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute, Francisco Javier Encina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 62nd minute there was a penalty for Colicheo. Eliseo Godoy stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Telmo Teran. 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Geraldo Landea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colicheo's supporters rose to their feet, but Geraldo Landea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Telmo Teran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hermelando Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hermelando Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hermelando Costa hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. But to his dismay, Rogelio Larrarte quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2.
