An unexpectedly hard shot by Valerio Pimienta in the 3rd minute of play forced Guailla AFC's goalkeeper Alex Mozo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 4thth minute of the game Miguel Hernánde Vial who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guailla AFC's Alex Mozo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When deportes iquique's Valerio Pimienta in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Alex Mozo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valerio Pimienta's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. In the 19th minute, Valerio Pimienta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The deportes iquique fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Valerio Pimienta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Mozo having to interfere. Tor Font made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinos Alba in the 27th minute of play. Eder Alveal kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. If Ceandro Malfanti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valerio Pimienta charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valerio Pimienta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. deportes iquique's Tor Font played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinos Alba in the 42nd minute of play. Valerio Pimienta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alex Mozo having to make a save.

Romano Grille sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The deportes iquique fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when deportes iquique's Valerio Pimienta looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Valerio Pimienta took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Alex Mozo to make any attempt to save it. Valerio Pimienta did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-4 to the left of a surprised Alex Mozo 67 minutes into the match. Vinos Alba hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. The supporters of Guailla AFC booed when deportes iquique was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilberto Magdahl didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guailla AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 75th minute, when Valerio Pimienta scored to the left of an out of position Alex Mozo, making the score, 0-5. Alex Mozo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Valerio Pimienta showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 79 minute of play. Alex Mozo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valerio Pimienta's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Miguel Hernánde Vial could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Alex Mozo made a huge save. After having played for 86 minutes, Valerio Pimienta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. deportes iquique's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valerio Pimienta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 90th minute Vinos Alba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tor Font saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Miguel Hernánde Vial had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alex Mozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valerio Pimienta in the 92nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Federico Malicet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guailla AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Federico Malicet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tor Font breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. deportes iquique played a much better game than Guailla AFC and deserved their victory. The Guailla AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
