The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 13th match minute, Chocalan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eufrasio Cousiño to maneuver through the defense. Máximo Manghy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Roland Cortés was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Máximo Manghy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Almireses AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Máximo Manghy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roland Cortés breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 25 minutes into the game, one of Almireses AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Tobías Labbé, was totally fooled by Chocalan's Gustavo Abrigo, who 27 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When Almireses AFC's Máximo Manghy in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Máximo Manghy in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roland Cortés prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Darien Maillard to make the kick off. When Benicio Cid fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chocalan's protests and gave Benicio Cid a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd minute, Álvaro Mitrovich left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Almireses AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. When Máximo Manghy came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Almireses AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Máximo Manghy couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Máximo Manghy managed to get in a good position for a shot.
