In the 2nd match minute, Chonchi AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bairon Manso de Velasco to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 5 minutes, Lucas Bernal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Melocoton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Bernal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Esequiel Masson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Alberto Morgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Zarpas Frost tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Luis María Ovalle came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Chonchi AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis María Ovalle couldn't finish the play. Andy Riquelme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martino Kovasic, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 16 played minutes Melocoton got a freekick which was hit by Enmanuel Máximo. 17 minutes into the match, Chonchi AFC's Esequiel Masson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andy Riquelme narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Andy Riquelme was a little too slow when Luis María Ovalle got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 1-0. Martino Kovasic charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Martino Kovasic the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Luis María Ovalle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andy Riquelme having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Melocoton's goal looked a bit too open when Esequiel Masson came free, but Andy Riquelme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 32 minutes, Luis María Ovalle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chonchi AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis María Ovalle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Bernal in the 39th minute of play forced Chonchi AFC's goalkeeper Zarpas Frost to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zarpas Frost showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Morgado, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Carlos Alberto Morgado succeeded in the game's 55th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Enmanuel Máximo's late challenge caught a Chonchi AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enmanuel Máximo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Melocoton's Enmanuel Máximo got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 64th minute, Luis María Ovalle made a precise shot to the right of Andy Riquelme. Melocoton's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 68th minute Luis María Ovalle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andy Riquelme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zarpas Frost took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Alberto Morgado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zarpas Frost made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Bernal in the 81st minute of play. Andy Riquelme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esequiel Masson in the 90th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis María Ovalle in the 91st minute of play forced Melocoton's goalkeeper Andy Riquelme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
