Francisco José Meléndez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Dietsch in the 8th minute of the match. Miren Badiola might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Francisco José Meléndez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miren Badiola ran back to his position shaking his head. Gabriel Soto Tapia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Francisco José Meléndez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Luis Dietsch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Quilquico FC's Francisco José Meléndez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Dietsch in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th match minute, Quilquico FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patxi Bolocco to maneuver through the defense. In the 49th minute, Miren Badiola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eufemio De la Cruz was the one to do the kick off. Patxi Bolocco hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. When Gabriel Soto Tapia came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Huintil AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Soto Tapia couldn't finish the play. Francisco José Meléndez didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 60th minute, which inside left pole to 3-1. If Odón Donaire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the match, Quilquico FC's Luis Javier Ruedi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sebastián Huilcaman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Quilquico FC! Alirio Massenlli shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Odón Donaire in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastián Huilcaman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sebastián Huilcaman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Odón Donaire in the 78th minute of play. After 81 played minutes Huintil AFC got a freekick which was hit by Matteo Guzmán. In the 86th minute Odón Donaire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastián Huilcaman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisco José Meléndez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Huintil AFC's Florinio Aguirrebeña quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Enrico Carson, made in the 99th minute of the game. For all the effort they put into the match, the Huintil AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Quilquico FC.
