Miguel Hernánde Neil was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gualberto Allendes short, quick shot in the 9thth minute got Sergi Diena to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When %teams%'s Abundio Prado was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 1-1 just inside the left pole, 11 minutes into the game. Sergi Diena was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. Abundio Prado's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 14thth minute, Sergi Diena skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Abundio Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Quique Schnaidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Miguel Hernánde Neil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sergi Diena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abundio Prado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sergi Diena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abundio Prado, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. If Abundio Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sergi Diena acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 34th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Pau Cossio. The Illapel fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Illapel's Quique Schnaidt looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Miguel Hernánde Neil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vasco Gallardo in the 39th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Dino Banderas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Miguel Hernánde Neil quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Illapel's Manuel Antonio San Pedro got a free kick in the 46th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

After a rather tough play, Illapel's Jordi Schmauk got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Quique Schnaidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Miguel Hernánde Neil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gualberto Allende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Sergi Diena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Quique Schnaidt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miguel Hernánde Neil having to make a save. Gualberto Allende recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Paniquihue's Gualberto Allende in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Illapel's goalie prevented a goal. After 93 played minutes Paniquihue got a freekick which was hit by Justo Srain. Paniquihue's Miguel Hernánde Neil proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Paniquihue from getting a goal against them. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
