The supporters of Pachama booed when Achacala AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uriel Cruchaga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Odín Lanz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 33 played minutes Achacala AFC got a freekick which was hit by Toni Duarte. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Pachama's Odín Lanz in the 38th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Miguel Hernánde Zaldivar was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Achacala AFC through an amazing save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adelino Aicardi got free with Miguel Hernánde Zaldivar in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Juanjo Paiva fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Achacala AFC's protests and gave Juanjo Paiva a yellow card for diving instead. Roldán Basanguren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Miguel Hernánde Zaldivar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
