The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Jonatán Amengual in the 3rd play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Niceto Llana kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Benedicto Gavilán sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jonatán Amengual had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruesga Marine in the 14th minute of play forced Mocopulle FC's goalkeeper Domenico Puyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Domenico Puyo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruesga Marine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Benedicto Gavilán had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 26 played minutes Mocopulle FC got a freekick which was hit by Andoni Olarra. Marcelo Latapiat took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Domenico Puyo. Mocopulle FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Benedicto Gavilán came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Mocopulle FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benedicto Gavilán couldn't finish the play. 31 minutes into the game, Gaston Poyancos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tunga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mocopulle FC the free kick. Jonatán Amengual fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niceto Llana having to interfere. The supporters of Mocopulle FC booed when Tunga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arcadio Narváez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Tunga's zone, Benedicto Gavilán stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niceto Llana came out of the goal and Benedicto Gavilán tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Benedicto Gavilán recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 55 minutes into the match, Tunga's goal looked a bit too open when Jonatán Amengual came free, but Niceto Llana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Tunga getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Marcos Francisco Rechivichi hit a great ball. Niceto Llana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonatán Amengual's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Duardo Larrazabal struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Domenico Puyo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tunga. Domenico Puyo made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Ruesga Marine sent off a good shot on target. Ruesga Marine could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Domenico Puyo made a huge save. In the 70thth minute of the game Duardo Larrazabal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mocopulle FC's Domenico Puyo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mocopulle FC's Domenico Puyo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Mocopulle FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonatán Amengual in the 79th minute of play forced Tunga's goalkeeper Niceto Llana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jonatán Amengual had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niceto Llana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonatán Amengual's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Mocopulle FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Tunga for a fine match.
