Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alcides Manghy started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anselmo Mundaca during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Omar Soffia's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 6thth minute, Abner Maffioletti skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Filomeno Hoffmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Abner Maffioletti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alcides Manghy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute, Godofredo Morandé hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Honorio Flethechar, 21 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Alcides Manghy sped through Codegua FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mauricio Blanchetau. Codegua FC's Mauricio Blanchetau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alcides Manghy in the 34th minute of play. Mauricio Blanchetau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Saúl Daniels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Omar Soffia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Abner Maffioletti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filomeno Hoffmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filomeno Hoffmann in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abner Maffioletti saved Hurtado from getting behind. In the 45th minute Filomeno Hoffmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abner Maffioletti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Hurtado were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Filomeno Hoffmann made a kick off. Abner Maffioletti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Omar Soffia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Omar Soffia scored 1-1 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abner Maffioletti, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Soffia in the 70th minute of play forced Hurtado's goalkeeper Abner Maffioletti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alcides Manghy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauricio Blanchetau having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Codegua FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alcides Manghy came free, but Mauricio Blanchetau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Hurtado's Alcides Manghy in the 81st minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Mauricio Blanchetau was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Codegua FC through an amazing save. Mauricio Blanchetau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alcides Manghy in the 82nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Codegua FC's Mauricio Blanchetau got control of the ball when Carlos Saúl Daniels tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Alcides Manghy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hurtado's supporters rose to their feet, but Alcides Manghy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauricio Blanchetau breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carlos Saúl Daniels could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Mauricio Blanchetau made a huge save. Abner Maffioletti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Soffia, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. The supporters of Codegua FC booed when Hurtado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godofredo Morandé didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute Omar Soffia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abner Maffioletti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 97 minutes, Cristóbal Bolados mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hurtado and the Codegua FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 97 played minutes Hurtado got a freekick which was hit by Cristóbal Bolados.
