Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Ovalle's David Israel Cares started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, David Israel Cares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ovalle's supporters rose to their feet, but David Israel Cares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adrián Azpuru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 5 minutes, Sandro Oxley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marchant and the Ovalle players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sandro Oxley kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the game, Ovalle's Hermelando Vilches nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adrián Azpuru made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Cosme Alpi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 40 minutes, Marchant's Severo Rodríguez got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Cristofer Ornaz. In the 46th minute Norino Recabarren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristofer Ornaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristofer Ornaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norino Recabarren, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Israel Cares couldn't finish the play. Adrián Azpuru made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Hermelando Vilches sent off a good shot on target. David Israel Cares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrián Azpuru having to interfere.
