In the 42nd minute Omar Plummer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eleazar Yorgos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Quila FC defense, Omar Plummer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eleazar Yorgos. The Quila FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eleazar Yorgos should have stopped the shot. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Omar Plummer to make the kick off. César Reinaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florín Martini in the 52nd minute of play. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tunga's goalkeeper César Reinaga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Carlos Hernán Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
