The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcelo Urquijo during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marcelo Urquijo hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After 3 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Niguen! In the 8th minute, Filomeno Mery got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Niguen's Siluna Fehrmann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Niguen from getting a goal against them. Paulo Del Campo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vladimiro Arredondo. Marquesa AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If David Montoya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filomeno Mery received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Siluna Fehrmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 34 minutes, Rollo Montane mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marquesa AFC and the Niguen players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th match minute, Marquesa AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rollo Montane to maneuver through the defense. Cristiano Lagos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 38th match minute, Marquesa AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filomeno Mery to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Niguen getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Lázaro Gartsman hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Hugo Moscoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marquesa AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Moscoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Siluna Fehrmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcelo Urquijo was shown his second yellow card after 44 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Niguen getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Marcelo Urquijo hit a great ball. Siluna Fehrmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Moscoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

With a little luck, Marquesa AFC's Vladimiro Arredondo got control of the ball when Cristiano Lagos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristiano Lagos struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Vladimiro Arredondo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Niguen. Siluna Fehrmann didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filomeno Mery went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. 85 minutes into the match, Marquesa AFC's goalkeeper Vladimiro Arredondo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristiano Lagos. In the 87th minute, Hugo Moscoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Marquesa AFC's Vladimiro Arredondo got control of the ball when Cristiano Lagos tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Hugo Moscoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Marquesa AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Niguen had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
