When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Tamariz Ulloa sped through Hilaricos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hernán Oñate. Hernán Oñate showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tamariz Ulloa, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. The audience was convinced that Mohamed Jaña's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Moncho Mazeira was relentless in the 80th minute of the game.
