After 20 minutes, Ubaldo Matildo Arteta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CF Norte Portuario and the Ojeda FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pinone Albuerne, 21 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Blanco Didier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ojeda FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Blanco Didier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leopoldo Jacinto Lanas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 25th minute, David Duguid hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romildo Mendieta was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Manu Delgado showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 31 minute of play. Blanco Didier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Leopoldo Jacinto Lanas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of CF Norte Portuario booed when Ojeda FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis María Soudre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Natalio Frey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romildo Mendieta having to interfere. Natalio Frey struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Romildo Mendieta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CF Norte Portuario. Romildo Mendieta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manu Delgado in the 47th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anastasio Wittig stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Manu Delgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leopoldo Jacinto Lanas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Blanco Didier in the 65th minute. Romildo Mendieta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manu Delgado in the 66th minute of the match. In the 68th minute, Diego Labbé hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 69 played minutes, Ojeda FC's Pinone Albuerne shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leopoldo Jacinto Lanas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ojeda FC reached it. Blanco Didier's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Leopoldo Jacinto Lanas firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anastasio Wittig in the 75th minute of play forced CF Norte Portuario's goalkeeper Leopoldo Jacinto Lanas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
