Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jose Maria Airola kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilio Codina in the 3rd minute of play forced Salinas AFC's goalkeeper Menéndez Dunn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Emilio Codina managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itahue's supporters rose to their feet, but Emilio Codina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Menéndez Dunn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Odilón Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Val Carmona tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 11 played minutes, Salinas AFC's Desiderio Mendoza shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Val Carmona came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Salinas AFC reached it. Val Carmona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Odilón Duarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. If Jose Maria Airola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ondino Ruiz kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Odilón Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salinas AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Odilón Duarte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Val Carmona breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Itahue's Francisco Alberto Atienza got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Demetrio Muñiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 26 minutes into the game, Cristiano Gómez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Salinas AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Itahue the free kick. A collision led to Salinas AFC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Cristiano Gómez hit a great ball. Jose Maria Airola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Odilón Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Salinas AFC defense, Demetrio Muñiz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Menéndez Dunn. The Salinas AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Menéndez Dunn should have stopped the shot. Rainerio Lobos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jose Maria Airola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. Val Carmona tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Emilio Codina made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Francisco Alberto Atienza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Menéndez Dunn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Demetrio Muñiz in the 60th minute of play. In the 63rd play minute Odilón Duarte came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Val Carmona. 1-1. Jose Maria Airola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Val Carmona having to interfere. After 78 played minutes Itahue got a freekick which was hit by Baltazar Radical. 80 minutes into the match, Itahue's goal looked a bit too open when Jose Maria Airola came free, but Val Carmona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Val Carmona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Maria Airola in the 82nd minute of play. After 83 played minutes Itahue got a freekick which was hit by Rainerio Lobos. Jose Maria Airola succeeded in the game's 86th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Salinas AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
