When Victoriano Bueras fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ermita FC's protests and gave Victoriano Bueras a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narcomillo Amunátegui in the 19th minute of play forced Ermita FC's goalkeeper Calvino Garachena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Batista Casos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casimír Yete having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Alejandro Cardoso in the 26th minute of play forced Junipert FC's goalkeeper Casimír Yete to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Alejandro Cardoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Narcomillo Amunátegui to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Ermita FC's goalkeeper Calvino Garachena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cecilio San Pedro. The Junipert FC fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when Junipert FC's Narcomillo Amunátegui looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a little luck, Ermita FC's Calvino Garachena got control of the ball when Cecilio San Pedro tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Ermita FC booed when Junipert FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nazario Jáuregui didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Alejandro Cardoso in the 85th minute of play forced Junipert FC's goalkeeper Casimír Yete to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Junipert FC booed when Ermita FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Saldivia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 90 minutes, José Alejandro Cardoso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ermita FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Alejandro Cardoso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Junipert FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
