The supporters of Polpaico booed when Ermita FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victoriano Bueras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ermita FC's Calvino Garachena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xavier Hamdorf in the 11th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Ermita FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xavier Hamdorf came free, but Calvino Garachena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Polpaico's Dalmacio Rouse proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Polpaico from getting a goal against them. In the 22nd minute, Fernando Aeta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xavier Hamdorf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calvino Garachena having to interfere. 30 minutes into the game, Igor Tinoco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ermita FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Polpaico the free kick. Igor Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Polpaico's goalkeeper Dalmacio Rouse had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Batista Casos. 37 minutes into the match, Ermita FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xavier Hamdorf came free, but Calvino Garachena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xavier Hamdorf struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Calvino Garachena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Polpaico. Dalmacio Rouse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Alejandro Cardoso in the 42nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Batista Casos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ermita FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Batista Casos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dalmacio Rouse breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Ermita FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Polpaico were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xavier Hamdorf stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Polpaico's zone, Batista Casos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dalmacio Rouse came out of the goal and Batista Casos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Batista Casos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the match, Ermita FC's José Alejandro Cardoso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dalmacio Rouse narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Polpaico's Dalmacio Rouse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Batista Casos in the 61st minute of play. After having played for 67 minutes, José Alejandro Cardoso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ermita FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Alejandro Cardoso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Batista Casos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Dalmacio Rouse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Alejandro Cardoso couldn't finish the play. Roger Cabanillas hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 75thth minute of the game José Alejandro Cardoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Polpaico's Dalmacio Rouse was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a left leg Dalmacio Rouse saved Polpaico from getting behind. After having played for 93 minutes, Victoriano Bueras managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ermita FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victoriano Bueras was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ermita FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
