With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luis María Campino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Romano Bolivar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elodio Acharan in the 33rd minute of play. When Huenalihuen's Lucián Bulnes in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mechuque's goalie prevented a goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
