After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Narcís Malbrán managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chapa's supporters rose to their feet, but Narcís Malbrán was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romano Bolivar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Huenalihuen getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Robert Miquel hit a great ball. If Narcís Malbrán had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Blanc kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After having played for 31 minutes, Francisco Blanc managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Huenalihuen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Blanc was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Romano Bolivar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narcís Malbrán, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, Francisco Blanc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jacinto Vuskovic didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 47th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucián Bulnes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Huenalihuen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Blanc was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 56 minutes into the game, when Nemesio Garnham put in a rough tackle. After 56 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Chapa! The referee gave Huenalihuen a penalty, 59 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Marc Feldman, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Chapa's Jacinto Vuskovic. 2-0. After 65 minutes, Lucián Bulnes made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Chapa's Jacinto Vuskovic tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Lucián Bulnes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Alonzo Lizondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chapa's goalkeeper Jacinto Vuskovic, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Francisco Blanc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Vuskovic having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Lucián Bulnes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacinto Vuskovic. Chapa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucián Bulnes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jesus Manríquez got free with Romano Bolivar in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. José Luis Varletta hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Jesus Manríquez struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Romano Bolivar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chapa. The supporters of Chapa booed when Huenalihuen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 99 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marc Feldman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 102nd minute, Jesus Manríquez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chapa's supporters rose to their feet, but Jesus Manríquez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romano Bolivar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Huenalihuen were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Chapa for a fine match.
