The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Archibaldo Larenas in the 7th minute of play forced Huellahue's goalkeeper Nauzet Deramond to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8thth minute of the game Archibaldo Larenas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Huellahue's Nauzet Deramond was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nauzet Deramond made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Archibaldo Larenas sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of C.D Meseta Azul booed when Huellahue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Héctor David Marinkovic didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eleuterio Pinuer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Abarzua in the 16th minute of play. Ángel Las Casas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mariano Gandarillas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Nauzet Deramond when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 26 minutes into the match, Huellahue's goalkeeper Nauzet Deramond had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Gandarillas. Lucero Marquezado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 32 minutes into the match, C.D Meseta Azul's goal looked a bit too open when Anastasio Villegas came free, but Eleuterio Pinuer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eleuterio Pinuer came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Huellahue's Miguel Abarzua. But to his dismay, Miguel Abarzua quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 36th minute, Gerardo Chandia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Archibaldo Larenas in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nauzet Deramond saved Huellahue from getting behind. José Alberto Villaseñor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nauzet Deramond having to interfere. The supporters of C.D Meseta Azul booed when Huellahue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edelmiro Anriquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Axel Estévez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Nauzet Deramond tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Archibaldo Larenas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nauzet Deramond was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Nauzet Deramond took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Archibaldo Larenas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alirio Mackenzie was the one to do the kick off. C.D Meseta Azul's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
