Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ismael Nazario Iribarren started the match with the kick off. Gualpencillo's Ernesto Daniel Orsterhont proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Gualpencillo from getting a goal against them. In the 9th minute, Teofilo Badilla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arturo Melgarejo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilo Badilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. If Teofilo Badilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Punitaqui FC's Arturo Melgarejo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teofilo Badilla in the 18th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Gualpencillo's goalkeeper Ernesto Daniel Orsterhont had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Samuel Marchena. Teofilo Badilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Punitaqui FC's Arturo Melgarejo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teofilo Badilla in the 32nd minute of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Jerardo Bastic managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gualpencillo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerardo Bastic was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 37 played minutes Punitaqui FC got a freekick which was hit by Jose Ramon Mesina. Arturo Melgarejo came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Gualpencillo's Teofilo Badilla. But to his dismay, Teofilo Badilla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 43 minutes into the match, Punitaqui FC's Ismael Nazario Iribarren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ernesto Daniel Orsterhont narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Ismael Nazario Iribarren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teofilo Badilla stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the match Gualpencillo got a corner. Punitaqui FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rainerio Manzanal ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 64th minute, Ismael Nazario Iribarren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ernesto Daniel Orsterhont was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. An unexpected shot in the 67th minute by Teofilo Badilla got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Arturo Melgarejo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teofilo Badilla in the 70th minute. Teofilo Badilla came free with the goalkeeper in the 71st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Arturo Melgarejo could save by the left post. 76 minutes into the match, Punitaqui FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jerardo Bastic came free, but Arturo Melgarejo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Jerardo Bastic came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Gualpencillo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerardo Bastic couldn't finish the play. Arturo Melgarejo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerardo Bastic, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Punitaqui FC's Arturo Melgarejo got control of the ball when Teofilo Badilla tried to sneak it across the goal line. Calvino Manieu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teofilo Badilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Melgarejo having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Punitaqui FC's Adelino Aravena got a free kick in the 95th minute. Rainerio Manzanal's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Arturo Melgarejo on his right side and into the goal. 96 minutes into the game it was 1-2.
