The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Abuelo Luis Troncoso's Leonel Albuerne got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Natanael Fuenzalida's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 9thth minute, Patricio Philippi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 12 played minutes Pullingue AFC got a freekick which was hit by Vladimiro Cañas. In the 15th minute, Ferdinand Hacke made a precise shot to the right of Patricio Philippi. Pullingue AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Pullingue AFC's Patricio Philippi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdinand Hacke in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelino Font in the 19th minute of play forced Abuelo Luis Troncoso's goalkeeper Flavio Zunino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelino Font received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Flavio Zunino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Vladimiro Cañas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ferdinand Hacke came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Abuelo Luis Troncoso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferdinand Hacke couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Natanael Fuenzalida managed to get in a good position for a shot. Abuelo Luis Troncoso's supporters rose to their feet, but Natanael Fuenzalida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patricio Philippi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pullingue AFC's Patricio Philippi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Pullingue AFC from getting a goal against them. Natanael Fuenzalida struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Patricio Philippi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Abuelo Luis Troncoso. With a little luck, Pullingue AFC's Patricio Philippi got control of the ball when Orlando Paravic tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinand Hacke in the 59th minute of play forced Pullingue AFC's goalkeeper Patricio Philippi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 62 played minutes Abuelo Luis Troncoso got a freekick which was hit by Juan Pedro Castillo. Abuelo Luis Troncoso made a substitution. Emmanuel Jarpa replaced Orlando Paravic. The supporters of Pullingue AFC booed when Abuelo Luis Troncoso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Pedro Castillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute Benjamín Delporte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patricio Philippi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 84 minutes of play, Abuelo Luis Troncoso's Leonel Albuerne made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Patricio Philippi was left in no man's land by his defense there!
