The Tiquima AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Florentino Tiñoli should have stopped the shot. Florentino Tiñoli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natalio Harun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Visen Goñi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Natalio Harun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Florentino Tiñoli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Florentino Maier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Florentino Tiñoli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salamón Oliva, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The supporters of Umaquilca AFC booed when Tiquima AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florentino Maier didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute, Santiago Basay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Florentino Maier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 54th minute, Remi Hacke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nastasio Sojo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Visen Goñi in the 59th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Tiquima AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Natalio Harun came free, but Florentino Tiñoli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Natalio Harun came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Umaquilca AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Natalio Harun couldn't finish the play. After 73 minutes of play, Umaquilca AFC's Jeremías Chiguaicura made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Florentino Tiñoli was left in no man's land by his defense there! Florentino Maier's late challenge caught a Umaquilca AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Florentino Maier helped the player get up and apologised. After 80 played minutes Tiquima AFC got a freekick which was hit by Florentino Maier. Natalio Harun was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 88th minute. Umaquilca AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Jeremías Chiguaicura could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Florentino Tiñoli made a huge save. Santiago Basay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Nastasio Sojo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
