Rafael Fontecilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Timeteo Albertz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rafael Fontecilla was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Juan Alfonso Docal kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Rafael Fontecilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timeteo Albertz in the 37th minute of the match. The Altamira players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hualaihue FC were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xacobo Benoit to make the kick off. Sarracino Ancieta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xacobo Benoit, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 62 minutes, Timeteo Albertz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hualaihue FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Timeteo Albertz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Justino Vásquez hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Xacobo Benoit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sarracino Ancieta having to interfere. The supporters of Hualaihue FC booed when Altamira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Cristi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xacobo Benoit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hualaihue FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Arcadio Rocuant in the 93rd minute. After taking down the ball on Hualaihue FC's corner Arcadio Rocuant fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rafael Fontecilla quite easily take care of the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hualaihue FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
