Elizalde Cisneros charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elizalde Cisneros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Saúl Federici kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After having played for 17 minutes, Juan Alfonso Ipinza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pocuno AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan Alfonso Ipinza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Henrico Oñate managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pocuno AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Henrico Oñate was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro José Markmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Henrico Oñate fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro José Markmann having to interfere. After 24 played minutes Islita got a freekick which was hit by Elizalde Cisneros. In the 28th match minute, Islita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elizalde Cisneros to maneuver through the defense. Juan Alfonso Ipinza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Caupolicán Peric made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alonzo Brito in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute Alonzo Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caupolicán Peric saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Alonzo Brito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Caupolicán Peric was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. The supporters of Islita booed when Pocuno AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ariano Pacull didn't get a good kick on the ball. Desiderio Bardesi struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Caupolicán Peric didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Islita. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

54 minutes into the game, Ariano Pacull was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pocuno AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Islita the free kick. Ariano Pacull hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Alonzo Brito struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Caupolicán Peric didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Islita. Alonzo Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Caupolicán Peric tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ariano Pacull got his second yellow card in the match during the 63rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Pocuno AFC's Ariano Pacull got a free kick in the 64th minute. If Alonzo Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caupolicán Peric didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Desiderio Bardesi went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Juan Alfonso Ipinza's late challenge caught a Islita's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juan Alfonso Ipinza helped the player get up and apologised. In the 79th match minute, Pocuno AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Alfonso Ipinza to maneuver through the defense. Pocuno AFC's Caupolicán Peric proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Pocuno AFC from getting a goal against them. After 82 played minutes Pocuno AFC got a freekick which was hit by Odín Seco. Henrico Oñate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Pedro José Markmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Pocuno AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Alonzo Brito came free, but Caupolicán Peric reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Islita eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
