After 20 played minutes sunylda club got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Abrego. If Francisco Ignacio Meneses had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeo Frick's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Firmín Cartagena firmly grabbed it by the left post. José Ignacio Sola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eufrasio Bruce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee ignored sunylda club's protests and gave Reces Balcazar a yellow card for diving instead. José Ignacio Sola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alirio Argandoña, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Through an outstanding action, after 93 minutes, José Ignacio Sola successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Eufrasio Bruce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Ignacio Sola having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
