Caquena FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fanqui the free kick. The supporters of Fanqui booed when Caquena FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celedonio Ebensperger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caquena FC's Jose Miguel Echavarría played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Marzullo in the 12th minute of play. Jose Miguel Echavarría took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xavier Angel Izamit, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Heliodoro Dick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Pedro Marzullo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xavier Angel Izamit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Miguel Echavarría having to interfere. In the 33rdth minute of the game Pedro Marzullo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caquena FC's Jose Miguel Echavarría was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Baraquiel Devia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Dante Gertosio made a huge save. Xavier Angel Izamit recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Baraquiel Devia could shoot a difficult shot in the 44th minute, which Dante Gertosio however easily saved by the left post. Pedro Marzullo scored 0-1 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jose Miguel Echavarría, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Caquena FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Fanqui were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Miguel Hernánde Ornaz made the kick off in the second half. Pedro Marzullo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Jose Miguel Echavarría tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Fanqui's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Hernánde Ornaz came free, but Dante Gertosio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fanqui's Dante Gertosio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baraquiel Devia in the 58th minute of play. When Baraquiel Devia came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Caquena FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baraquiel Devia couldn't finish the play. Caquena FC's Jose Miguel Echavarría proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Caquena FC from getting a goal against them. Pedro Marzullo's late challenge caught a Caquena FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Marzullo helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 83 minutes, Baraquiel Devia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caquena FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baraquiel Devia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Fanqui getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Pedro Tomás Cordoba hit a great ball. Caquena FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Juan Fernando Reinoso in the 98th minute. Juan Fernando Reinoso made a great header on Caquena FC's corner, it was just that Fanqui's Dante Gertosio managed to reach the ball for a save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Fanqui had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
