Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Xamín Ortuzar started the match with the kick off. Lazo's Mario Jesus Menares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xamín Ortuzar in the 4th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Lazo's goalkeeper Mario Jesus Menares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xamín Ortuzar. A collision led to Hualqui FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Renato Fischer hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Albarracin in the 9th minute of play forced Hualqui FC's goalkeeper Teodor Madsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Matteo Asencio notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Lazo's Mario Jesus Menares. Mario Jesus Menares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Hualqui FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Xamín Ortuzar hit a great ball. Teodor Madsen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Quim Jorge's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. If Quim Jorge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niguel Dalgalarrando's late challenge caught a Lazo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Niguel Dalgalarrando helped the player get up and apologised. If Matteo Asencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matteo Asencio might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mario Jesus Menares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Matteo Asencio ran back to his position shaking his head. 48 minutes into the game, Lazo's Abelardo Albarracin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teodor Madsen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

If Xamín Ortuzar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Matteo Asencio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Mario Jesus Menares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st play minute Quim Jorge came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Teodor Madsen. 1-2. 64 minutes into the game, Quim Jorge cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Teodor Madsen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mario Jesus Menares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matteo Asencio in the 71st minute of play. Xamín Ortuzar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Constantino Villarroel kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. When Matteo Asencio came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Hualqui FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matteo Asencio couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Lazo getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Gerardo Valderas hit a great ball. Lazo's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
