Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Arturo Valdés made the kick off which started today's match. Firmín Antonis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romelio Tacull, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Firmín Antonis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florentino Cataldo in the 5th minute of the match. If Arturo Valdés had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tobías Encina hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. 10 minutes into the game, Huachipato FC's Arturo Valdés nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Firmín Antonis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Huachipato FC's Romelio Tacull got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 17thth minute of the game Arturo Valdés who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Domeyko's Firmín Antonis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carlos Saúl Cuevas charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Saúl Cuevas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Domeyko's Carlos Saúl Cuevas got a free kick in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romelio Tacull in the 22nd minute of play forced Domeyko's goalkeeper Firmín Antonis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yoel Maschke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tancredo Malherbe having to interfere. Yoel Maschke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Domeyko's zone, Romelio Tacull stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Firmín Antonis came out of the goal and Romelio Tacull tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Romelio Tacull might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Firmín Antonis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Romelio Tacull ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 40th minute Yoel Maschke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tancredo Malherbe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th match minute, Huachipato FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florentino Cataldo to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Saúl Cuevas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Tancredo Malherbe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peio López kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Domeyko's zone, Alexandre Arriaran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Firmín Antonis came out of the goal and Alexandre Arriaran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 58th minute, Carlos Saúl Cuevas made a precise shot to the right of Tancredo Malherbe. Huachipato FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After 65 minutes, Celino Najera mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Domeyko and the Huachipato FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Celino Najera kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Romelio Tacull sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the match, Huachipato FC's Arturo Valdés sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Firmín Antonis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Saúl Cuevas couldn't finish the play. If Carlos Saúl Cuevas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Madeo Word fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Huachipato FC's protests and gave Madeo Word a yellow card for diving instead. In the 95th minute Carlos Saúl Cuevas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tancredo Malherbe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yoel Maschke in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tancredo Malherbe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
