A collision led to Ruminano AFC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Aureo Gibson hit a great ball. Montt's Leonardo Pradel got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Miguel Quiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute, Sebastiano Arbieto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Normando Quesada in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tancredo Alcaide prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Miguel Quiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Victor Hugo Menart tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leopoldo Jacinto Fuica charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leopoldo Jacinto Fuica the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Miguel Quiroz struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Victor Hugo Menart didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montt. Victor Hugo Menart showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Pradel in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After a rather tough play, Montt's Miguel Quiroz got a free kick in the 51st minute. Miguel Quiroz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Victor Hugo Menart made a huge save. Normando Quesada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Tancredo Alcaide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miguel Quiroz in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Victor Hugo Menart, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 76 minutes into the game, Ruminano AFC's Sebastiano Arbieto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tancredo Alcaide made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Normando Quesada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Montt's Tancredo Alcaide played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Normando Quesada in the 93rd minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Montt players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ruminano AFC.
