When Salomone Claro came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Papujune FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salomone Claro couldn't finish the play. Wilfredo Malky showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alirio Huaquil in the 49th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Wilfredo Malky was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eloi Bastidas kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Laurín Oviedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hermenegildo Basualto's late challenge caught a Seguel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hermenegildo Basualto helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Papujune FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Hermenegildo Basualto hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute of the match, Cirilo Demanet got a very nice opportunity to score, but Wilfredo Malky was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The Papujune FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Seguel were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
