The referee felt a red card was in order, 3 minutes into the game, when Rosalio Patterson put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 2nd minute of the game. One of Pancoras FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ranquilco:s goal. Leonides Castillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Plácido Ross having to interfere. Ambrosio Beca made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Valentino Inzunza sent off a good shot on target. Ranquilco's Narcomillo Lauwerens got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valentino Inzunza got free with Ambrosio Beca in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Plácido Ross showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Narcomillo Lauwerens, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After 38 minutes, Narcomillo Lauwerens made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Pancoras FC's Plácido Ross tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Pancoras FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ranquilco were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valentino Inzunza made a kick off. After 51 minutes, Delmiro Figueroa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ranquilco and the Pancoras FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 51st minute, Delmiro Figueroa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 55 minutes, Disvandis Manzor mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ranquilco and the Pancoras FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alirio Oyarce during the 56th minute. The referee ignored Pancoras FC's protests and gave Maxín Moran a yellow card for diving instead. Leonides Castillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Plácido Ross having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Narcomillo Lauwerens kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Plácido Ross. That made the score 0-3 in the 71 minute of play. When Leonides Castillo came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Ranquilco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonides Castillo couldn't finish the play. Valentino Inzunza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Ambrosio Beca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Ranquilco's Narcomillo Lauwerens ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Plácido Ross. Plácido Ross yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Ranquilco's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
