In the 10th minute Gerónimo Berendique shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mario Darricades saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amato Huenul made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Rumie in the 18th minute of play. Arturo Ferreiro in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mario Darricades, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some careless play in the Calamina defense, Severiano Hiriart kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amato Huenul. The Calamina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amato Huenul should have stopped the shot. The Calamina players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Molineros AFC were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Severiano Hiriart made a kick off. Roberto Rumie received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Amato Huenul came out and tried to block the shot, but Roberto Rumie slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 52nd minute. 56 minutes into the match, Calamina's Arturo Ferreiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mario Darricades narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Severiano Hiriart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amato Huenul having to interfere. Magdaleno Encina charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Magdaleno Encina the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Molineros AFC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Magdaleno Encina hit a great ball. In the 77th minute, Severiano Hiriart reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Amato Huenul. The goal made the score 0-3. Félix Pedraza's late challenge caught a Calamina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Félix Pedraza helped the player get up and apologised. In the 84th minute there was a penalty for Calamina. Félix Frago stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mario Darricades. 1-3. Arturo Ferreiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Mario Darricades tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Arturo Ferreiro came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Calamina fans jumped to their feet.
