If Gregorio Epulef had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Caigua's Emilio Felipe Bessoayn got control of the ball when Pau Carreño tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pau Carreño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salamón Lauwerens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregorio Epulef in the 36th minute of play. When Ceandro Pellegrini fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sportivo Crá's protests and gave Ceandro Pellegrini a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sportivo Crá booed when Caigua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oriol Guardas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marciano Canales took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Emilio Felipe Bessoayn. Caigua's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
