Diego Armando Bascuñán showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lester Lecaroz in the 9th minute of the match. In the 15th minute Gustavo Gaymer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorenzo Frei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Lester Lecaroz notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Quidenez FC's Diego Armando Bascuñán. Diego Armando Bascuñán was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ariel Mozo might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lorenzo Frei. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ariel Mozo ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Grutas AFC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Marcelino Lurquín hit a great ball. After having played for 32 minutes, Ariel Mozo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quidenez FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ariel Mozo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ariel Mozo got free with Lorenzo Frei in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luis Alberto Soza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Diego Armando Bascuñán tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Grutas AFC's Lorenzo Frei got control of the ball when Ariel Mozo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 47th match minute, Grutas AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricard Deramond to maneuver through the defense. Jerardo Villarino's late challenge caught a Grutas AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jerardo Villarino helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Quidenez FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Jerardo Villarino hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Quidenez FC's zone, Lester Lecaroz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Armando Bascuñán came out of the goal and Lester Lecaroz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Grutas AFC's Bairon Otava got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Ariel Mozo struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Lorenzo Frei didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quidenez FC. A collision led to Grutas AFC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Natalio Iñiguez hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the match, Lester Lecaroz notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Quidenez FC's Diego Armando Bascuñán. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Alberto Soza couldn't finish the play. The Grutas AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
