The referee ignored Umagata's protests and gave Jon-Ander Flores a yellow card for diving instead. Jon-Ander Flores hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute, Reyes Lorca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute Xabel Moncada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Acasuso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Ceferino Otaegui managed to get in a good position for a shot. Umagata's supporters rose to their feet, but Ceferino Otaegui was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xavi Bravo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Xavi Bravo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ceferino Otaegui, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the match, Umagata's goal looked a bit too open when Xabel Moncada came free, but Joel Acasuso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xabel Moncada kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ceferino Otaegui got free with Xavi Bravo in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 74th match minute, Umagata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Arco to maneuver through the defense. 79 minutes into the match, Umagata's Tamariz Morales sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Xavi Bravo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Umagata's Jon-Ander Flores got his second yellow card of the match in the 81st minute. The referee ordered Jon-Ander Flores off the ground.
