The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jose Ramon Maier didn't quite understand what happened when in the 32 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. The referee felt a red card was in order, 34 minutes into the game, when Zacarías Yevenez put in a rough tackle. After a rather tough play, C.D.Meseta Azul's Zacarías Yevenez got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 41st minute, Modesto Campillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute Evelio Bahamonde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zebulón Montaner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes in the game Ricardo Alert did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Cristiano Wittig. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgar Escudero to strike the kick off in the second half. Zebulón Montaner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javiero Orden in the 52nd minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Boca FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abundio Galarce came free, but Edgar Munster reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zebulón Montaner was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Edgar Escudero capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edgar Escudero really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Boca FC's Edgar Munster played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abundio Galarce in the 63rd minute of play. Edgar Munster came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by C.D.Meseta Azul's Abundio Galarce. But to his dismay, Abundio Galarce quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. With a little luck, C.D.Meseta Azul's Zebulón Montaner got control of the ball when Manuelo Otaiza tried to sneak it across the goal line. Remicio Báez might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edgar Munster. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Remicio Báez ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 71st minute, Domingo Dareport hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zebulón Montaner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Escudero, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. When Jon-Ander Elzo came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the C.D.Meseta Azul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jon-Ander Elzo couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abundio Galarce in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgar Munster prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 87th minute Jon-Ander Elzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Munster saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, C.D.Meseta Azul's Abundio Galarce sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgar Munster narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Boca FC booed when C.D.Meseta Azul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abundio Galarce didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, C.D.Meseta Azul's Zebulón Montaner got control of the ball when Javiero Orden tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zebulón Montaner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Escudero in the 95th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, C.D.Meseta Azul could leave the field as winners, despite Boca FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
